Coronavirus Information
The County will monitor and follow closely the government guidelines and instructions during the on going pandemic as circumstances change and hopefully improve. Any changes to guidelines will be sent to all registered clubs and published here.

As of 8/9/2020 - Surrey's coronavirus response, to help clubs who wish to, to get back to bowling whilst complying to all the current ESMBA and goverrment guidelines is being currently led by Mark Jones, committee chairman.

Short Mat Bowls
On Monday, 17th August England Short Mat Bowls Association ( ESMBA) issued Government approved guidelines whereby Short Mat Bowls Clubs and Associations registered with ESMBA could resume bowling.
Each organisation is expected to complete a risk assessment according to a template supplied by ESMBA. This is to be completed by the person responsible at each club/association for Safeguarding. This should be accompanied by a venue risk assessment.
The risk assessment document(s) must be forwarded to Surrey County Safeguarding Officer, details below.
Upon successful completion of the risk assessment by Surrey clubs, a “Safe Bowls Certificate” will be issued by me, the club can start play conforming to the guidelines,
and the outcome forwarded to the England Guardianship Officer for record purposes.
