Coaching

The ESMBA strongly believe that structured coaching is the best way forward to improve the standard of all bowlers from beginners, through club and county up to international level. They have therefore chosen to pursue coaching excellence through Coach Bowls. Their courses are the only Bowls coaching courses to be professionally recognised nationally.

Surrey short mat has the following registered and accredited Coach Bowls Level 1 coaches who, as active short mat bowlers, are ideally situated and willing to assist with any coaching needs in the short mat game :-

There will be an official Umpire at all County Tournements and Matches.

At present the County has the following qualified Umpires:
